Primary Duties: Assam Rifles focuses on maintaining law and order in northeastern states, providing aid in times of conflict, and assisting the army in counter-insurgency operations. It also ensures the security of key installations in the region.
Eligibility:
- Age: 18-23 years for constables.
- Education: Minimum 10th grade; specialized roles may have additional requirements.
- Physical Standards: Height – 170 cm (males), 157 cm (females); Chest (males) – 80 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm; weight as per height and age.
