
BSF (Border Security Force)

Primary Duties: The BSF is responsible for preventing unauthorized entry into or exit from Indian territory, tackling smuggling activities, and protecting against cross-border threats. BSF personnel are often deployed in high-risk areas and are also involved in disaster relief operations.
Eligibility:
- Age: 18-23 years for constables; age limit varies for other ranks.
- Education: Minimum qualification of 10th grade for constables, while higher qualifications (like 12th grade or graduation) may be required for technical or officer roles.
- Physical Standards: Height – 170 cm (males), 157 cm (females); Chest (males) – 80 cm (unexpanded) with a minimum expansion of 5 cm; weight proportionate to height and age.
