ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police)

Primary Duties: ITBP is known for patrolling and guarding the Indo-China border at altitudes often exceeding 9,000 feet. Its personnel are also trained in mountaineering and skiing, making them adept at high-altitude security and rescue missions.

  • Eligibility:

    • Age: 18-23 years for general duty constables.
    • Education: Minimum 10th grade for constables, with additional requirements for technical or officer posts.
    • Physical Standards: Height – 162.5 cm (males) and 150 cm (females); Chest (males) – 77 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm; physical fitness suitable for high-altitude conditions.
